Becoming a Pro Staff Member
First of all we would like to thank you for your interest in becoming part of our company.
Pro staff members are an extremely important part to our company, they are not only loyal team members but also become great friends.
Below we will list out the important criteria to become a Pro Staff Member. We receive close to 10 emails or phone calls a day in regard for such positions. Many times it is individuals looking for a discount or something for free. Many times they are genuinely serious about helping promote our company. In order to process each request we have a system here to help.
Pro staff is comprised of members who represent a promotional and/or professional aspect of the industry. “Professional” anglers are those who make a living fishing. Both our promotional and professional pro staff members exist for a sole purpose: to promote our business. Many casual anglers seek positions on pro staff to promote themselves, plan to film their sessions and/or to receive free/discounted products, which is not what a pro staff is about.
Promoting a product only goes so far, pro staffers must also be involved wherever possible to push a healthy industry forward into the next century. The company cannot be successful without an industry demand for their products. Some things a pro staffer can do to promote the company and push demand for products would be to attend local consumer/trade shows and fishing tournaments throughout the year. They can also create content such as videos, photos and visual prints that can be used for promotional purposes. Social media and online forums play a huge role in today’s market strategies. Therefore, pro staffers must publicly promote the company online in addition to working directly with marine stores or local bait and tackle shops.
Perks! Yes, there is incentive to being a pro staff member. You will have a limited access to free or discounted products depending on the amount of work you put in. Everything is a give and take. You have to give your time and effort to receive the rewards. We will take care of our members.
However, if you put in the work and thoroughly promote the products as well and the company and those affiliated with us you will belong to a network of companies that work together. Some of our close business affiliations even extend discounts to our pro staff members who promote their business as well.
Now that we’ve discussed what it entails to be a successful pro staff member, lets touch on some of the qualifications we look for.
- We look at you and who you are as an individual and as an angler. We want you to have a passion for the marine industry.
- We look for someone already using and promoting our products. If you have any accomplishments relating to our company or our products, let us know!
- You must be willing to perform the necessary duties of being a pro staff member.
- Applicants must have a strong social media following. And be willling to publish posts with our products highlighted.
- Good communication skills are a must.
- Most important to being a pro staff / field staff member for Stayput Anchor is belief in our company! Do you use and believe in our products? Are you already promoting our products to your friends and family?
